Advance Auto Parts Elects New Director

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Advance Auto Parts Inc. said Monday it named a marketing executive to its board.

The new board member is Fiona Dias, executive vice president of partner strategy and marketing for GSI Commerce Inc. She was appointed to the board's finance committee.

Dias has been in her current job since 2007 and was previously chief marketing officer at electronics retailer Circuit City Stores Inc. She has also worked at PepsiCo inc., Pennzoil-Quaker State, and Procter & Gamble Co. She is currently a director at Choice Hotels Inc.

Advance Auto Parts, based in Roanoke, Va., sells auto parts, batteries, accessories and maintenance items at 3,407 stores in 39 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

Shares of Roanoke-based Advance Auto Parts rose 58 cents to $39.73 in afternoon trading.
