NEW YORK (AP) — The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Friday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

The package delivery company raised its first-quarter earnings forecast on better-than-expected international shipments and cost cuts.

Motorola Inc., up 71 cents at $8.68

The struggling phone maker unveiled its first device using Google's Android system, banking on it to attract consumers.

Covidien PLC, up $2.51 at $41.87

The drug and medical device maker expects its revenue to grow between 4 and 7 percent in fiscal 2010, in line with expectations.

American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc., up $1.02 at $7.34

An analyst upgraded the auto parts maker, saying that expectations of a deal with its lenders and a cash infusion from General Motors Co. have helped ease concerns over the company's liquidity.
