Standard Pacific Unit Prices Notes Offering

IRVINE, Calif. (AP) — Homebuilder Standard Pacific Corp. said Thursday its Standard Pacific Escrow unit priced $280 million principal amount of senior notes due 2016.

The 10.75 percent notes priced at an issue price of 91.997 percent.

The offering is expected to close on Thursday.

The notes will be issued in a private offering. The company expects to use net proceeds to buy back some outstanding notes through tender offers, and if there are any proceeds left to refund or repurchase other outstanding debt.

In morning trading, shares of Standard Pacific rose 22 cents, or 5.9 percent, to $3.96.
