Russ Berrie Plans To Change Its Name

WAYNE, N.J. (AP) — Children's product maker Russ Berrie & Co. said Wednesday it plans to change its name to Kid Brands Inc. after it gets shareholder approval later this month.
The Wayne, N.J.-based company said in a statement the name "reflects the company's transformation and growth strategies focused on the infant and juvenile products industry globally." The annual meeting of shareholders is scheduled for Sept. 22. Russ Berrie also plans to change its ticker to "KID." Shares fell 11 cents to $5.52 during midday trading.- Loading Comments...
