National Instruments Reiterates 3Q Sales Outlook

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — National Instruments Corp. reiterated its third-quarter revenue outlook on Tuesday and raised the bottom end of its earnings outlook by 2 cents per share.

The testing software and equipment company still expects sales between $158 million and $168 million, down from $215 million in the third quarter of last year. Also Tuesday, National Instruments said it now expects earnings of 6 cents to 12 cents per share, or 11 cents to 17 cents per share when excluding items.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, who typically exclude items from their estimates, expect a profit of 9 cents per share on $163.3 million in revenue, on average.

National Instruments shares rose 35 cents in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading up 29 cents at $25.88.
