Bridgepoint Education Inc., down $2.66 to $15.57

The San Diego-based education company said it expects a federal audit to result in proposed fines and other action.

H&R Block Inc., down 39 cents to $16.62

The nation<s largest tax preparer lost $133.6 million in the first quarter, the same as a year ago, but results were slightly worse than expected.

Quiksilver Inc., down 50 cents to $2.36

Profit dropped by 53 percent in the clothing and sporting good maker's third quarter, and it forecast a per-share loss for the fourth quarter.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co., down 81 cents to $30.17
