BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Lawyers for HealthSouth Corp. say in a court filing that former CEO Richard Scrushy's yacht should be surrendered and sold to help satisfy a $2.8 billion judgment.

Monday's filing in Jefferson County Circuit Court in Alabama says the jailed Scrushy's 92-foot Chez Soiree is normally stored in North Palm Beach, Fla. It's now in dry-dock in Stuart, Fla.

The filing says the boat should be turned over to help satisfy the civil judgment Scrushy was ordered to pay for leading the accounting fraud that nearly bankrupted the Birmingham-based company.

An exhibit with the filing says the boat needs maintenance and is "deteriorating daily." Lost value on the yacht means lost money for HealthSouth, which holds first claim to Scrushy's assets.
