TradeStation Says Trade Volume Fell In August

PLANTATION, Fla. (AP) — TradeStation Group Inc., which provides an electronic trading platform, said Wednesday that daily average revenue trades dropped 17 percent in August.

Average trading volume fell to 76,808 trades per day for the month, from 92,824 in the year-ago period.

Total client assets at the end of August were 6 percent higher than at the end of August 2008. Client assets totaled $1.9 billion at the end of the month.

Shares of TradeStation rose 11 cents to $7.14 in morning trading.
