Aecom Technology Acquires LAN Engineering

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Aecom Technology Corp. said it acquired LAN Engineering, a privately held civil and structural engineering company based in California that specializes in transportation infrastructure.
"LAN's construction-management and design expertise enhances Aecom's leadership position in the transportation market," said Aecom President and CEO John M. Dionisio in a statement on Sunday. LAN has nearly 200 employees and seven offices and provides services to mostly public clients. Its services include program and project management, design development and construction management for freeways, interchanges, highways, railroad grade separations, as well as transit and rail infrastructure. Los Angeles-based Aecom, which has about 44,000 employees worldwide, provides technical and management support services for government and commercial clients.
