Vail Resorts Names New Marketing Chief

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) — Mountain resort operator Vail Resorts Inc. said Friday it promoted Heidi Kercher-Pratt to vice president and chief marketing officer, effective immediately.

Kercher-Pratt replaces Derek Koenig, who left recently. She joined the company in 1996 as an assistant in the advertising department and has since held a number of managerial roles in marketing at the company.

Vail runs its namesake ski resort in Colorado, as well as Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and other resorts in Coloradao, California, Nevada and Wyoming. It also operates Rock Resorts, a luxury resort management company.

Shares fell 38 cents to $33.63 in aftermarket trading.
