Aruba 4Q Loss Shrinks On Revenue Gains

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) — Wireless networking technology maker Aruba Networks Inc. said Thursday it posted a narrower loss in the fourth quarter as revenue grew past analyst forecasts.
The loss in the three months ended July 31 of $4.5 million, or 5 cents per share, was an improvement from the loss of $6.8 million, or 8 cents per share, a year ago. Revenue rose 11 percent to $53.3 million. Adjusted for non-cash stock-based expenses and amortization of intangible assets, adjusted net income was $3.2 million, or 3 cents per share. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected adjusted earnings of 2 cents per share, and revenue of $49 million. For the full year, losses increased to $23.4 million, or 28 cents per share, from a loss of $17.1 million, or 22 cents per share, from a year earlier. Adjusted earnings for the year grew to $7.6 million, or 8 cents per share, from $4 million, or 4 cents per share. Annual revenue rose 12 percent to $199.3 million.
