NYSE: Williams Sonoma Inc., up $1.74 at $17.21 The home decor retailer's profit tumbled in the second quarter on charges related to underperforming stores and lower sales. Hovnanian Enterprises Inc., up 43 cents at $5 A government report showed a big leap in sales of new homes last month, yet another sign of recovery in the battered housing market. Bridgepoint Education Inc., down $1.20 at $19.59 The for-profit online education provider said its biggest stockholder and members of its management team planned to sell their shares.
