International Rectifier Issues 1Q Sales Guidance

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — International Rectifier Corp., which makes power management chips for satellites and aircraft, on Tuesday offered revenue guidance for the first quarter above Wall Street's estimates.

Citing "strong momentum" in the September quarter, the company expects fiscal first-quarter revenue to range between $165 million and $175 million.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters are expecting revenue of $155.6 million.

International Rectifier's shares added 8 cents to close at $17.04 Tuesday, and jumped $1.16, or 6.8 percent, to $18.20 in aftermarket trading.
