David Russell, reporter for OptionMonster. NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The following stories ran Monday on optionMONSTER.com. Options look for gold near $1,200: The precious metal has been trapped below $1,000 an ounce for 17 months, but now the bulls are looking for bullion to make new highs. In trading, know thyself: I have commented on a number of occasions about keeping a trading journal, so I thought that I would take this time to delve into the idea more deeply. Traders betting UAL will take off: The owner of United Airlines, UAL(UAUA Quote), is up 68% in the past month and some traders apparently think that the shares will keep gaining altitude. Options see upside in JPMorgan: The financial giant is up 16% in the past month, and one investor is betting that the gains will keep on coming at JPMorgan Chase(JPM Quote). Key financial ETF breaks out: The Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF Quote) exchange-traded fund broke above the downtrend resistance line of bearish price channel Friday, leading to the formation of a bullish "flag" pattern. Monday Premarket: Heavy call trading in Alcatel-Lucent: Shares of the French communications carrier Alcatel-Lucent (ALU Quote) have rallied 75% just over the last five weeks from around $2. Bulls target Staples ahead of earnings: The office supplies retailer is scheduled to release earnings before the opening bell Tuesday, and the bulls are positioning for a move higher at Staples(SPLS Quote).- Loading Comments...
