Winn-Dixie Expects Sales To Rise In Fiscal 2010

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Grocery-store operator Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. on Monday said it expects sales in stores open at least one year to rise 1 percent to 2 percent in fiscal 2010.

The company's fiscal year began June 25.

Winn-Dixie expects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization will range between $170 million to $180 million. Capital spending is expected to total about $220 million, including the remodeling of 75 stores at a cost of $130 million.

Shares closed up 3 cents at $15.61.
