PEABODY, Mass. (AP) — Imaging equipment maker Analogic Corp. got funding from the Transportation Security Administration for an upgraded scanner system to check baggage for explosives and other threats at smaller-sized airports.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed on Monday.

The device called the OnGuard checkpoint CT system will be suited for small and medium-sized airports. It will provide advance threat detection at both checkpoints and with checked-baggage applications.

The upgrade will extend the flexible, automatic explosives and weapons detection capability currently available in larger airports to a wide range of smaller airports.

The first system is slated to be delivered during the company's first fiscal quarter ending Oct. 31.

Shares of Analogic fell 6 cents to $35.15 in afternoon trading.
