Landstar System Names Co-chief Operating Officers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Landstar System Inc. said Tuesday it has named two co-chief operating officers who will split their responsibilities for the company's operations.

Pat O'Malley will be responsible for Landstar's field organization, agency and capacity development and over-the-road operations, including Landstar's truckload and other services.

Jim Handoush will be responsible for the Jacksonville, Fla., company's newly acquired supply chain transportation integration companies, Premier Logistics Inc. and A3 Integration LLC. He also will be responsible for warehousing, intermodal and international service offerings and national and international account development.

O'Malley joined Landstar in 1985 as an operations coordinator and has served as director of fleet management, vice president of safety and has held other jobs.

Handoush joined Landstar in 1996 as Landstar Logistics vice president of finance and has been global logistics executive vice president of finance and administration and most recently as president of Landstar Global Logistics.

Shares added 18 cents, to $37.71 in afternoon trading.
