NEW YORK (TheStreet.com) - Today, mobile phones dominate as the primary form of communication for many and with cable companies alike offering Internet phone service, what's left for Vonage(VG Quote)?
Speaking of phones, despite the suggested teenage appeal, recently leaked specs for the Motorola (MOT Quote) Morrison have some critics taking a second look.
U.S. based Tesla, manufacturer of the electric car, has posted a nice profit, announcing earnings of approximately $1M on revenue of just $20M.
Add that to GM's(GM Quote) announcement that the company's extended range electric car the Chevy Volt, received an official EPA rating of more than 230 MPG city and a combined city/highway average fuel economy of more than 100 MPG and it's a good week for innovation.
But what we find funny is that just one year ago, Toyota(TM Quote) Tech Manager Bill Reinert put both Tesla and the 'Volt' on "Death Watch."
Though Reinert's comments aren't necessarily 'fire' worthy, The New York Times(NYT Quote) had a different take on some commercial endorsements Columnist Ben Stein did that apparently "conflicted with the paper's ethical rules."
That said, we all might just need to get together virtually to watch Stein's classic cameo in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", which XBox Live's(MSFT Quote) latest Netflix(NFLX Quote) update should finally let us do!
