NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Wednesday evening.

Citigroup (C Quote): "Everyday I want to recommend CitiGroup, but I am struggling with it. I'll bless it, it's a buy. There, I said it!"

FirstEnergy (FE Quote): "I think that FirstEnergy is a well-run company with a nice yield. It's not as good as Dominion Resources (D Quote) or Exelon (EXC Quote) though."

Smith Micro Software (SMSI Quote): "This is part of my mobile Internet tsunami. I'm a buyer on any weakness."

Meridian Bioscience (VIVO Quote): "That's diagnostics and I'm bullish on diagnostics. That's a good one."

Newmont Mining (NEM Quote): "You know I like Agnico-Eagle Mines (AEM Quote). That one's you're play."

First Niagara Financial (FNFG Quote): "They are incredible well-run, I want to buy that one all the way up to $16 a share."
