Oil States, Brazilian Company Form Joint Venture

HOUSTON (AP) — Oil services company Oil States International Inc. said Wednesday that a subsidiary has joined with a Brazilian company to provide deep water production and subsea pipelines to the South American nation's expanding offshore construction industry.
Oil States-Uniao S.A., a joint venture of Oil States Industries Inc. and Uniao Engenharia Fabricacao e Montagem Ltda., will be based in Vila Velha, Brazil. The two companies said they have been working together for several years for client Petrobras in fields off the Brazilian coast. Oil States shares fell 98 cents, or 3.8 percent, to $24.80 in afternoon trading.- Loading Comments...
