Northrop Names Janey VP Of Civil-systems Division

RESTON, Va. (AP) — Defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. said Tuesday it named Cheryl L. Janey vice president of operations for its information-systems sector's civil-systems division.

Janey will oversee the division's financial, growth and operational objectives within the federal-civil and state and local markets, the company said. She will also lead and manage special projects and initiatives.

Janey, an information-technology industry veteran, most recently was president of civil programs at Harris Corp., working with federal agencies. Harris makes radios and communications devices for military and commercial customers.

Previously, Janey worked in leadership roles at Northrop Grumman, supporting its commercial, state and local business.

Shares of Northrop Grumman slid 72 cents to $47.02.
