Stock quotes in this article: TLT , GS , UNP , CAL , STEC , USO , GLD

The markets are mixed today, with just the Nasdaq poking its head into positive territory right now. Let's take a look at what is working and what is not.

Bullish

Treasuries(TLT Quote): Bonds are rallying for a fourth day in a row. Not sure if this can last.

Goldman Sachs(GS Quote): Leading the financials higher.

Transports: The index is higher with Union Pacific(UNP Quote) and Continental Airlines(CAL Quote) higher on the day.

STEC(STEC Quote): Recent highflier is hitting new highs after the data storage play raised guidance this morning.

Upgrades: Lots of Wall Street upgrades from this morning helping shares of IBM Corp(IBM Quote), Microsoft(MSFT Quote), Magna International(MGA Quote) and Amgen(AMGN Quote).

Nucor(NUE Quote): Shares are rising after the steelmaker said losses would be less than expected.

Oil(USO Quote) and Gold(GLD Quote) are both rebounding today, but off earlier highs.

Bearish

Visa(V Quote): Credit card processor is down and has been lagging the last three trading days.

Best Buy(BBY Quote): Trading down after disappointing earnings results.

Genzyme(GENZ Quote): Biotech play is near five-year lows after shutting a production facility due to a virus.

Commodity Stocks: BHP Billiton(BHP Quote) and Potash(POT Quote) are leading to the downside as commodity plays lose the early pop.

Keep an eye on the the ultrashort plays we mentioned yesterday, UltraShort Financials ProShares (SKF Quote) and UltraShort Real Estate ProShares (SRS Quote). They may be good options to add to long positions we talked about Monday. Keep your stops in place and stay disciplined.
