Owens-Illinois Says 89 Percent Of Notes Tendered

PERRYSBURG, Ohio (AP) — Owens-Illinois Inc. said Thursday that nearly 89 percent of the principle amount of senior notes due next year were tendered.
Owens-Illinois, which makes glass bottles for beer, wine and soft drinks, said holders of $221.9 million in principle of the $250 million 7.5 percent notes met the company's deadline of midnight Wednesday. The total purchase price was $232 million. J.P. Morgan Securities, Banc of America Securities and Deutsche Bank Securities served as advisers. Shares of Perrysburg, Ohio-based Owens-Illinois added 87 cents, or 3 percent, to $30 in afternoon trading.- Loading Comments...
