Food Distributors Spent Over $151K Lobbying In 1Q

WASHINGTON (AP) — The International Foodservice Distributors Association spent $151,515 in the first quarter to lobby on labor, food safety and other industry issues, according to a recent disclosure report.

The organization, whose members include Sysco Corp. and U.S. Foodservice Inc., also lobbied on economic development concerns and other matters, according to the report filed April 20 with the House clerk's office.

Besides Congress, the group lobbied the White House in the January-March period.
