Dividend.com: Morning Playbook

Stocks are mixed this morning as lots of retailers are posting their monthly sales updates. Let's take a look at who's seeing a pop in the early going, as well as other stocks/sectors to be watching in this morning's session.

Retail Winners

Aeropostale(ARO), Buckle(BKE) and Kohl's(KSS) are looking positive so far.

Retail Losers

Abercrombie & Fitch(ANF), Target(TGT), JCPenney(JCP) and Gap Stores(GPS) are seeing some red.

Earnings Stories

SAIC Inc.(SAI), Vail Resorts(MTN) and Teekay Corporation(TK) are seeing some early gains. Ciena(CIEN) is lower.

Upgrades to Watch

Google(GOOG), Adobe(ADBE), Bucyrus International(BUCY), JoyGlobal(JOYG) and Broadcom(BRCM), Goldman Sachs(GS), Chipotle Mexican Grill(CMG) and Coach(COH) are all getting their ratings bumped up today.

China Plays

Baidu(BIDU), Netease.com(NTES) and Shanda Interactive(SNDA) have all been on a roll and should be monitored closely. I would be cautious chasing too aggressively at this point. A pullback would offer a better opportunity to get long.

Gold-Mining Stocks

Agnico-Eagle Mines(AEM) and Randgold Resources(GOLD) broke down a bit yesterday, but let's see how they trade as Gold(GLD) looks to be trading higher.
