Sonic Solutions Fiscal 4Q Profit Slips

NOVATO, Calif. (AP) — Sonic Solutions, which makes digital media software, said Thursday its fiscal 2009 fourth-quarter profit slipped on lower sales and several charges.
The company earned $328,000, or 1 cent per share, compared with net income of $480,000, or 2 cents per share, during the year-earlier period. Revenue fell 7.6 percent to $32.2 million from $34.9 million. The fiscal fourth-quarter and full year ended March 31. Excluding charges, the company said it earned 5 cents per share. For the full year, the company lost $118.1 million, or $4.45 per share, compared with a loss of $5.5 million, or 20 cents per share. Revenue fell 9.7 percent to $120 million from $132.9 million. The company said it expects revenue of about $25 million during the fiscal second quarter. Shares of Sonic Solutions fell 3 cents to close at $1.51.- Loading Comments...
