Investors can find out which way the market is heading by cutting through all the hype and conflicting information by following a few key stocks, Jim Cramer told viewers of his "Mad Money" TV show Thursday.

According to Cramer, the rally is led by three sectors: oil, technology and the financials.

In technology, he looks to Apple (AAPL), Research In Motion (RIMM) and Google (GOOG) to see how that sector is faring.

In the oil patch, Cramer said the stocks to watch are Schlumberger (SLB), Transocean (RIG) and Anadarko (APC).

To gauge the health of the financials, Cramer said he looks to JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and Goldman Sachs (GS), two stocks which Cramer owns for his charitable trust, Action Alerts PLUS, and Bank Of America (BAC).

Cramer said if he could only get three quotes to see where the markets were headed, he'd use Goldman Sachs, Apple, and Schlumberger. "If these stocks stop going higher, then I'll start worrying," said Cramer.
