Dividend.com: Last-Hour Tells

Stock quotes in this article: FSLR , SRS , SKF , AZO , CME , MON , UNP , GMCR , RL

The markets are catching some overly aggressive traders on the long side a but offguard as the indices turn red this afternoon.

We made some changes to our "Best Dividend Stocks" list as well, pruning some short-term winners. As for the ideas and themes to be watching here in the last hour:

Long Themes

First Solar(FSLR Quote): Making a comeback today after yesterday's downgrade damage.

UltraShort Real Estate ProShares(SRS Quote): Real estate-leveraged short play is looking higher.

UltraShort Financials ProShares(SKF Quote): Financially leveraged short play is looking higher.

UltraShort QQQ ProShares(QID Quote): Working well as the Nasdaq falters here.

The SRS and SKF have dug in their heels throughout the day. May be worth taking a shot as long plays into tomorrow. Keep your positions manageable as these two plays need to be timed perfectly. Same thing with the QID.

Bearish Signs

Goldman Sachs(GS Quote): Losing the bulk of its gains.

Union Pacific(UNP Quote): Railroad play leading the transports lower.

Monsanto(MON Quote): Could not bounce back after company trimmed estimates.

CME Group(CME Quote): Losing the bulk of its gains today.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters(GMCR Quote) and Polo Ralph Lauren(RL Quote): Both stocks spiked higher earlier today, only to see the gains disappear just as quickly.

AutoZone(AZO Quote): Auto parts retailer selling off badly throughout the day.

AZO seems to be the most inviting short play as we see it. Traders that have been following our lead should have seen the bulk of their trailing stops being hit this afternoon, but not until some nice profits had already been factored in!
