NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:
NYSE Saks Inc., up 73 cents at $4.81 The luxury department store posted a loss for the first quarter as sales tumbled, but cost cuts propped results above Wall Street views. Home Depot Inc., down $1.39 at $24.63 Profit grew at the country's largest home improvement retailer, but it didn't raise its outlook for the year as did rival Lowe's Cos. Allstate Corp., up 65 cents at $26.50 The insurer said no to the bailout funds the government had approved for it, saying capital and liquidity levels were strong. MSCI Inc., down $1.91 at $21.57 Morgan Stanley will sell off its remaining stake of 27.7 million shares, priced at $21.50 each, in the indexing and analytics company.- Loading Comments...
