Helen Of Troy's OXO Brand Gets 2 Licensing Deals
EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Personal care and household products company Helen of Troy Ltd. said Friday that its OXO brand has signed licensing deals with Staples Inc. and biopharmaceutical company UCB.
Terms of both contracts were not disclosed. OXO's agreement with Staples is for an office tools product line of more than 30 items, including push pins, staplers and staple removers. The OXO Good Grips products will only be available at Staples stores and on the office supply retailer's Web site, starting this month. The UCB deal is for a syringe that will be used by rheumatoid arthritis patients. The syringe can be used with UCB's Cimzia, which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration this week.
