IBM Buys Software Provider Exeros

ARMONK, N.Y. -- IBM(IBM) said Tuesday it has purchased software provider Exeros to help boost the capabilities of its Business Analytics Optimization Consulting group.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Privately held Exeros' software is able to find hidden relationships between databases, which helps users understand data quicker. Santa Clara, Calif.-based Exeros will be folded into IBM's information management software portfolio. "The combination of IBM and Exeros will enable companies to more intelligently manage their data across all formats and computing platforms, creating a smarter enterprise," said Ambuj Goyal, general manager of IBM Information Management, in a statement.TheStreet Premium Services
