Shares of major integrated oil companies finished higher Tuesday in tandem with the stock market and crude oil prices.
The Amex Oil Index rose 1.7% to 847.76. Light, sweet crude futures for May delivery settled up 63 cents to $46.51 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. BP(BP Quote) was up 2.2% to $39.77. ConocoPhillips(COP Quote) rose 2% to $38.71. Chevron(CVX Quote) was higher by 1.6% to $38.71. Sunoco(SUN Quote) was higher by 3.4% to $27.48. Royal Dutch Shell(RDS.B Quote) was up 2.5% to $42.30.
