Railroad Stock Winners and Losers: Canadian Pacific

Shares of major railroad companies were moving higher with the overall market Friday afternoon.

Norfolk Southern(NSC Quote), which is scheduled to report first-quarter earnings Tuesday, was up 2.6% to $38.19.

Kansas City Southern(KSU Quote) shares were up 4.4% to $17.27.

Canadian Pacific(CP Quote) shares were trading at $34.66, up 6.6%.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNI Quote), which will report quarterly earnings Thursday, was higher by 3.1% to $68.65.

Union Pacific(UNP Quote), which also reports earnings Thursday, was up 3.6% to $48.87.

CSX(CSX Quote) shares were up 2.5% to $31.72.
