Altera Settles Patent Suit With Zilog
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Chip maker Altera Corp. said Monday it has settled a patent lawsuit with Zilog Inc., another semiconductor company.
As part of the agreement, Altera said Zilog made a one-time payment of an undisclosed amount to Altera. Both parties agreed to dismiss their pending patent infringement lawsuits, the company said, adding that all other terms of the agreement are confidential. A representative for Zilog could not immediately be reached to confirm the settlement Monday afternoon. San Jose, Calif.-based Zilog's shares fell 6 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $2.35 in afternoon trading. Altera's shares fell 37 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $17.38.TheStreet Premium Services
