Wisconsin Energy CEO 2008 Total Compensation $8.3M

The AP's calculations of total compensation include salary, bonus, performance-related incentives, perks, any above-market returns on deferred compensation and the estimated value of stock options and awards granted during the year. They may vary from totals listed in the summary compensation table in the company's proxy filed with the SEC.

In its proxy filing, Wisconsin Energy said its compensation committee analyzed data supplied by compensation consulting firm Towers Perrin to determine a compensation package for each executive.

Wisconsin Energy said earnings from continuing operations totaled $358.6 million, or $3.03 per share, in 2008, up 6.7 percent from $335.6 million, or $2.84 per share in 2007. Annual revenue rose to $4.43 billion.
