Walgreen Co., up $2.29 at $26.58 Cost-cutting efforts helped, but the drugstore operator's profit fell anyway on lower consumer spending and restructuring expenses. Citigroup Inc., up 51 cents at $3.13 A new government plan to help banks remove as much as $1 trillion in bad assets from their books lifted banking shares. CF Industries Holdings Inc., up $3.51 at $71.19 Executives at the fertilizer maker said Agrium's $3.6 billion buyout bid is "grossly inadequate" and urged shareholders to reject it.
