ST. LOUIS (AP) — Anheuser-Busch ended its sponsorship of the NHRA on Monday.

The St. Louis-based division of Anheuser-Busch InBev also announced that it will end its 30-year relationship with Kenny Bernstein Racing's NHRA team. The brewery said the three-decade relationship was the longest in motorsports history, eclipsing STP's 28-year sponsorship of NASCAR's Richard Petty.

Dan McHugh, the brewer's vice president of media sponsorship, said Anheuser-Busch is looking at different ways to reach a new generation of consumers who haven't yet tried Budweiser.

Bernstein won six NHRA championships with Budweiser as his sponsor. He retired in 2003 and his son, Brandon, took over as the driver.

KBR is seeking a new sponsor.
