ROSELAND, N.J. (AP) — Curtiss-Wright Corp., which makes flow-control and motion-control products and provides metal-treatment services largely for the aviation industry, said Friday it has acquired a heating and cooling-systems manufacturer for $40 million.

The Roseland, N.J., company said the acquisition of EST Group Inc. will help it grow in its core markets of nuclear power, oil and gas and naval defense.

Curtiss-Wright said it acquired all the stock of EST Group, which will become part of its flow-control segment.

EST Group, based in Hatfield, Pa., had sales of nearly $20 million last year and employs 99 workers, Curtiss-Wright said.

Curtiss-Wright, which had sales of $1.83 billion last year, employs about 8,000 people worldwide.
