'Mad Money Lightning Round': Sprint Nextel Too Speculative

Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Thursday evening:

Sprint Nextel (S Quote): "Both Sprint and Qwest Communications (Q Quote) are too speculative for me. They might be a takeover target but I can't recommend it on that alone."

Linn Energy : "I'm no longer recommending any gas exploration stocks except for Anadarko Petroleum (APC Quote). I also like Kinder Morgan (KMP Quote) which is all in the distribution of gas."

Con-Way (CNW Quote): "This is a freight-forwarding company and I'm not going to recommend that business. I hope to someday, but not today."

Optimer Pharmaceuticals (OPTR Quote): "Incredibly interesting speculation. If you were looking to speculate, that could be a big winner. "

OM Group (OMG Quote): "This is an all mineral company and I cannot touch it until I see how the Chinese stimulus shakes out."

General Motors (GM Quote): "Too risky for me. I just cannot recommend it."

XTO Energy (XTO Quote): "Their chairman was on the show recently. This is the second best run company behind Anadarko Petroleum (APC Quote) but I'm not going to endorse it here."

Harley Davidson (HOG Quote): "Still has a downside. Still a discretionary purchase and they're having some inventory problems. Can't touch it."
