Sylvania Netbooks: Super-Portable, Affordable

Lugging around a heavy laptop is no fun, especially if you don't have to. Sylvania Netbooks are lightweight, 2.2 lbs, have an 80GB hard drive, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB RAM and comes with wireless connectivity.

What I like about this small netbook is that it is perfect as an email machine and portable DVD/music player. Also, because there is a built-in Web cam, this would make a great Skype machine -- without carrying around all the extra weight of most other laptops.

You can get these loaded with either Win XP or Linux. If you've always wanted to learn Linux, this would be a good way to start. And the Win XP booted up much faster than some more souped-up laptops I've seen.

There are three USB slots, an Ethernet connection slot (in case there is no wireless network) and an expansion slot. This model also comes in four colors: pink, yellow, black and white.
