Callaway Golf (ELY) said Monday it signed eight-time PGA Tour winner Stuart Appleby of Australia to a multiyear contract.
Financial details of the arrangement weren't disclosed. Callaway said in a press release that Appleby will endorse the company's equipment and golf balls, carry a branded club bag and feature the logo on his hats. Appleby, 37, had seven top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour in 2008. Also last year, he made 21 of 23 cuts and had more than $2 million in earnings. Callaway's clubs have long been popular with the general public, but in recent years they've also become more fashionable with professional golfers, including marquee players such as Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Annika Sorenstam.- Loading Comments...
