Rambus: ITC to Probe Claims vs Nvidia

 

LOS ALTOS, Calif. -- Rambus(RMBS Quote), a provider of technology licenses, said the U.S. International Trade Commission is investigating its claims that chip maker Nvidia (NVDA Quote) has infringed nine of its patents.

The patents relate to graphics processors and media and communications processors among other products, Rambus said late Thursday.

A representative for Santa Clara, Calif.-based Nvidia could not be reached for comment early Friday morning.
