Stocks Bobble Around Baseline

Looking at commodities, crude oil was shedding $2.14 to $52.30 a barrel. Gold was gaining 80 cents to $812.10 an ounce.

Longer-dated U.S. Treasury securities were mixed. The 10-year note was down 2/32 to yield 2.99%, and the 30-year was climbing 12/32, yielding 3.51%. The dollar was gaining on the euro, yen and pound.

Overseas, European exchanges were mixed, as the FTSE in London marked gains while the DAX in Frankfurt was trading lower. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei and Hong Kong's Hang Seng finished on the upside.
