Wednesday's Winners & Losers: Yahoo!

Tech stocks were down Wednesday, along with the major market indices, although Yahoo!(YHOO Quote - Cramer on YHOO - Stock Picks) received a bump higher on renewed speculation of a buyout deal with Microsoft(MSFT Quote - Cramer on MSFT - Stock Picks).

Shares of Yahoo! were up $1.35, or 6.7%, to $21.55 following renewed speculation that Microsoft is still interested in buying it. Microsoft has talked to other media companies such as News Corp.(NWS Quote - Cramer on NWS - Stock Picks) and Time Warner(TWX Quote - Cramer on TWX - Stock Picks) in a bid to create a partnership to acquire Yahoo!, said a report in the Wall Street Journal.

Shares of Microsoft lost 56 cents, or 2.1%, to $26.31.

SanDisk(SNDK Quote - Cramer on SNDK - Stock Picks) recovered from its 52-week low Tuesday and gained $1.51, or 8.6%, to $19.13 after an analyst at ThinkPanmure suggested NAND memory chip pricing could stabilize due in part from upcoming demand by Apple(AAPL Quote - Cramer on AAPL - Stock Picks).

Shares of memory chip makerMicron(MU Quote - Cramer on MU - Stock Picks) also received a boost. The stock rose 22 cents, or 3.8%, to $6.01 after a Caris analyst initiated coverage with a buy rating on compelling valuation.

Infineon(IFX Quote - Cramer on IFX - Stock Picks) lost 23 cents, or 3.1%, to $7.51 after CEO Peter Bauer ruled out a sale or merger. Infineon will restructure itself to increase efficiency and may reduce its workforce to decrease costs, said Bauer.

However, shares of Qimonda(QI Quote - Cramer on QI - Stock Picks), in which Infineon has a stake, jumped 64 cents, or 27.1%, to $3. Infineon could further write down the value of Qimonda, the company said, though it hopes to hold a minority stake in the latter by next year's annual shareholder meeting.

Dish Network(DISH Quote - Cramer on DISH - Stock Picks) lost $2.19, or 7.5%, to $26.92 after the company said AT&T(T Quote - Cramer on T - Stock Picks) will end its five-year marketing agreement with Dish.
