Dykstra: How I Pick Stocks

06/26/08 - 10:38 AM EDT

Lenny Dykstra

This puts us in much better scoring position. And, instead of 10 contracts, we had 20. Frontier bounced back as expected and we grabbed a $2,100 win.

We also scored a $4,800 win with Tesoro(TSO Quote - Cramer on TSO - Stock Picks), which required us to buy back a few times. We also have a number of picks still in play that have required buybacks. I expect to notch up a few more sizable wins soon. Remember, it's expected that some stocks will go down before coming back up and we need to be prepared. Citigroup(C Quote - Cramer on C - Stock Picks) and Bristol-Myers(BMY Quote - Cramer on BMY - Stock Picks) have both been on the board since mid-May and have required us to average down a few times. Forest Labs(FRX Quote - Cramer on FRX - Stock Picks) and Eli Lilly(LLY Quote - Cramer on LLY - Stock Picks) were both April picks. We now have 30 contracts for each. There are a number of others that fall into this category as well.

It's important to keep funding available in case a pick goes down and you have to average down in order to put yourself in better position for a win. I like the companies I pick and have done very well with my system.

Remember, life is a journey, enjoy the ride!
