Small-Cap Winners & Losers: Ixys

Small-cap stocks were taking a hit along with the major indices on Tuesday as bears controlled the markets. The Russell 2000 was falling 1.6% at 708.06 and the S&P SmallCap 600 was declining 1.5% to 375.04.

Ixys(IXYS Quote - Cramer on IXYS - Stock Picks) gained 4.8% to $12.00. The Santa Clara, Calif., technology company, which specializes in semiconductors, expanded its Schottky diode product line in an effort to offer high-power density for portable products.

Comscore(SCOR Quote - Cramer on SCOR - Stock Picks) was losing 22.82%, to $ 21.37. The Reston, Va., company provides digital marketing intelligence to aid in implementing digital business strategies internationally. Today Google(GOOG Quote - Cramer on GOOG - Stock Picks) introduced a competing product, Ad Planner.

Advanced Energy Industries(AEIS Quote - Cramer on AEIS - Stock Picks) was up 6.2% to $14.58. The Fort Collins, Colo.-based technology company develops and produces plasma-based manufacturing processes. Today, Goldman Sachs upgraded AEIS to buy from neutral in a sector note.

Blockbuster(BBI Quote - Cramer on BBI - Stock Picks) was up 4% to $2.62 on heavy volume Tuesday. The Dallas-based company specializes in video rental and other related entertainment.

Virgin Mobile(VM Quote - Cramer on VM - Stock Picks) was down 15.4% to $2.92. The wireless service provider based out of Warren, N.J., was downgraded to sell from neutral by Pali Research.
