• Last week, Ken Lewis, CEO of Bank of America (BAC Quote), said the company's dividend is safe. Last week Jim Cramer said he is concerned that Countrywide's (CFC Quote) portfolio could take out Bank of America. What do you guys think? Is it safe to pick up BofA for the long term with that nice dividend?

• I've been hearing that a large number of Japanese stocks trade below their cash value. Does anyone have any recommendation for a Japanese stock that fits this criteria?

• I read that long before my time investors would judge whether the market was overbought and oversold by looking at the S&P's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio. For the past 40 years it's averaged around 17. It's not the same anymore as P/Es have ramped into the 30s and markets went higher, and as P/E's came down the market went down. ....
