Video-games publisher Electronic Arts(ERTS Quote) lost $1.92, or 3.7%, to $49.60.

EA is in the midst of a $2 billion hostile takeover of its smaller rival Take-Two(TTWO Quote). EA's tender offer for Take-Two is set to expire midnight. Meanwhile, EA failed to find a place in the top 10 video games sales chart for April.

Shares of eBay(EBAY Quote) fell 76 cents, or 2.4%, to $31.17 following research notes that said the company's listings growth is solid but its conversion rates (i.e. the number of listings that are converted to sales) are down. Revenue growth will modestly trail earnings growth as revenue per listing continues to decline, said an analyst with Pacific Crest in a note.
