Sony Returns to Profit, Lifting Shares

Sony's shares were gaining 7.9% to $49.69 in New York trading Wednesday, and the advance came as technology overall was having a winning session. Nintendo (NTDOY - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), who makes a competing system to the PlayStation, wasn't yet trading. However, Microsoft (MSFT - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), the seller of the Xbox, was adding 1%. Hewlett-Packard (HPQ - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), Apple (AAPL - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) and Dell (DELL - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), whose computers compete with the Vaio, were also higher.
Still, shares are up 3.2%.
