Video-games publisher THQTHQI shed 69 cents, or 3.3%, to $19.68 after it posted wider-than-expected loss in the fourth quarter and offered weak outlook for the current quarter. Net loss for the quarter was $34.5 million compared with net income of $6.5 million the year before as a result of higher operating expenses related to marketing of games and accelerated software amortization charges. Excluding items, it reported a fourth-quarter net loss of 37 cents a share, compared with earnings of 15 cents a share a year ago. For the current quarter, THQ said it expects revenue in the range of about $115 million to $125 million and a net loss in the range of approximately 38 cents to 42 cents a share. Analysts are expecting revenue of $122.52 million and a loss of 18 cents a share.
